A Fairfield summer tradition is making a highly anticipated comeback.  August 2027, the Jennings Beach Open Volleyball Tournament returns to the shores of Long Island Sound for the first time since its original three-year run in the early 1990s.

The tournament is designed to foster community spirit, healthy competition, and plenty of goofy people watching. The event will bring together approximately 50 athletes for a day of high-energy, coed beach volleyball.

Tournament Details:

• Format: Coed 4-player teams (Each team must have at least one female player on court at all times).

• Structure: 8-12 teams competing in pool play, with the top two teams from each pool moving on to the semifinals.

• Prizes: Medals will be awarded to top three teams.  The winning team will receive $500 cash and potentially have their names engraved on the Jennings Beach Volleyball Poles. 

• Best Team Costume will receive Four $100 vineyard vines gift cards!

 

The tournament will run from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM across two courts. Registration is $160 per Team - includes a T-Shirt and $25 vineyard vines gift card to each participant.

Like previous Jennings Beach Opens the tournament will feature courtside banners, music, and spectator games to give the event a professional tournament atmosphere that celebrates the Fairfield lifestyle.

Registration will open June 10th. Teams are encouraged to sign up early.
